Aeolian Member Bartender Training

Any member can sign up to tend bar at Aeolian Yacht Club events or private events that are hosted at the club. The only condition...they must complete bartender training.

Bartender training will show you the essential information you need to be successful behind the bar, whether it is the main upstairs bar or the "mobile relief station" that is often found on the deck or in the downstairs room.

You will learn:

• Where supplies are located
• How to ring up drinks on the register
• How to obtain and manage the bar "bank"
• How to set up / break down the bar
• The CA State Alcohol Beverage Commission regulations that must be enforced at all times

. . . everything but how to smile and tell a joke or two! (You're on your own there!)

Training is conducted by master bartender "Peerless" Paul Cahalen in the Aeolian bar.  Over the course of roughly 2 hours you will learn what you need to know to achieve a level of confidence AND competence behind the bar. Paul has many valuable techniques and tips to share, and you will receive a printed copy of Paul's detailed compendium of AYC bar knowledge...the most important cheat sheet anywhere!
